About MCP Factory
Make credential management for MCP servers boring — so you can build MCP servers without thinking about OAuth.
Our Story
Why we built MCP Factory
"Make credential management for MCP servers boring — so you can build MCP servers without thinking about OAuth."
I started building MCP servers in early 2025 — for Claude Code, for agent workflows, for client integrations at my agency. Every one of them needed OAuth. Every one of them stored refresh tokens differently. Every one of them broke when a token expired in a way I hadn't tested.
The third time I shipped a Google Ads MCP server with a baked-in refresh token, I gave up and built a small FastAPI service that just held the credentials and handed out fresh access tokens on demand. That was the first version of MCP Factory.
Today it powers 30+ MCP servers across my projects and a handful of beta users. It's open source, self-hostable, and there's a hosted version if you'd rather not run it yourself.
Our Values
Boring on Purpose
Credential management should not be exciting. MCP Factory aims to be the most boring, predictable piece of your stack.
Self-Host First
Open source, Docker-deployable. The hosted version is a convenience, never a lock-in.
Built for MCP
Not a general-purpose OAuth platform. Every design decision is MCP-server-first.
